Jeremy Cummins started Yegtalks after having his own struggle with Mental Health. In March of 2018 Jeremy was hospitalized for 4 weeks. After receiving help from Alberta Hospital and Momentum Walk in Counselling he wanted to give back, Yegtalks was born. After hearing stories and seeing people he grew up with taking their own life he wanted to do something.

24 Hours To End The Stigma
On behalf of the YEG Talks team, we’d like to invite you to our second annual charity event — 24 Hours to End the Stigma.
This event is a 24-hour slo-pitch game hosted at RE/MAX Field on Saturday August 24th to Sunday August 25th. The ball game will run from 6pm on Saturday to 6pm on Sunday. Our hope for this event is to emphasize the conversation about mental illness in Edmonton and to raise funds for the Momentum Walk-In Counselling Society, which is a volunteer-based mental health triage centre, helping individuals who cannot pay for or wait for aid through the traditional health care system.
With the help of our amazing teams, sponsors, volunteers and special guests, we are proud to say that we raised over $11,000 in 2018 and received the honour of being nominated for Momentum’s 2019 Community Organization Award.
With our hopes set high and the help of awesome people like you, we can’t wait to “hit it out of the park” for 2019 & reach our goal of raising $16k in support of mental health!
In Partnership with Momentum
Momentum is a non profit, walk-in mental health triage centre that provides support and guidance to people in need of counselling services. Momentum helps individuals who may not be able to pay or wait for the traditional health care system and is staffed by a team of volunteer, Registered Health Professionals.
